## How It Works
The bulkhead fitting has National Pipe Taper Fuel (NPTF) female ends. A washer and nut create an air-tight seal with the bulkhead. The fitting is made of Stainless Steel for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability.
## Instructions
Assembly Instructions:
1. Remove jam & washer nut if assembled
2. Insert bulkhead through wall/barrier
3. Finger tighten, then completely secure nut with wrench

## Specifications
Our 316SS bulkhead includes a FKM seal gasket which limits the temperature range.
- Continuous Temperature: 400°F (204°C). FKM maintains its elasticity and sealing force up to this limit in most industrial fluids.
- Minimum Temperature: -18°F (-28°C). Below this temperature, standard FKM undergoes glass transition, becomes brittle, and may leak.
- Steam/Hot Water: Standard FKM degrades rapidly in steam above 300°F (149°C)
- Petroleum Oils & Fuels: Excellent compatibility; safely operates across the entire -18°F to 400°F
- Strong Acids/Amines: High temperatures accelerate chemical attack on FKM, which can cause the seal to harden and fail prematurely.
