Below this temperature, standard FKM undergoes glass transition, becomes brittle, and may leak. Steam/Hot Water: Standard FKM degrades rapidly in steam above 300°F (149°C) Petroleum Oils & Fuels: Excellent compatibility; safely operates across the entire -18°F to 400°F Strong Acids/Amines: High temperatures accelerate chemical attack on FKM, which can cause the seal to harden and fail prematurely.",
